A diaphragm pump, or otherwise known as a membrane pump is designed to gently move liquids such as beer, wine, juice, cider, and other alimentary liquids. Diaphragm pumps are entirely air or pneumatically operated. Inflating and deflating membranes apply suction to the liquid and enable free and easy transportation of the liquid. Diaphragm pumps can be ATEX rated to prevent the risk of explosion when moving high ABV content liquids such as spirits. Diaphragm pumps are extremely low maintenance, requiring very little lubrication. The pumps have good dry running characteristics and are self-priming.
The Liverani PF120 AODD pump is constructed from electropolished AISI 316 stainless-steel and has a maximum throughput rate of up to 7200 litres per hour.
Alternative production rates available ranging from 100 to 10,000 litres per hour.
~ Can be upgraded to ATEX rated where required.
