After spotting an opportunity to support other growing beverage makers looking for a fully green and sustainable solution to their canning needs, Get the Drinks In shifted focus to fully sustainable contract canning.

From the offset, Get The Drinks In have focused on sustainability, generating all their own green energy for their canning process via anaerobic digestion, as well as recovering sustainable food grade CO2 for use in carbonation. With increased appetite in the market for more environmentally friendly manufacturing and finished beverages, orders at Get The Drinks In were increasing rapidly and traditional canning methods were becoming a bottleneck, affecting the company’s ability to meet market demands efficiently. The business needed faster canning solutions capable of meeting the different format needs of customers. The Solution: COUNTER PRESSURE CANNING LINE

To address the canning speed issue, Get The Drinks In partnered with Core Equipment, installing a complete counter pressure can filling line. Core Equipment, renowned for providing high-quality beverage production equipment, recommended the solution due to its ability to streamline the canning process from automated depalletization through to packaged product.
Key Features of the Counter Pressure Can Filling Line:
– Reduced Fobbing: Counter pressure filling technology allows liquids to be filled at controlled pressure, significantly reducing the risk of fobbing (foaming). This results in higher quality products with consistent fill levels.
– Minimized Oxygen Pickup: The process minimizes oxygen pickup during filling, preserving the beverage’s flavour and extending shelf life.
– Increased Canning Speed: Up to 7,000 cans/hour
– High Throughput: The canning line can fill cans at a much faster rate compared to traditional methods. This increase in speed directly translates to higher production volumes and lower labour costs.

Since the installation of the counter pressure can filling line, Get The Drinks In has experienced significant improvements in its production process. The new canning line has more than doubled the company’s canning speed, allowing them to meet increased demand without compromising on quality.
