Low & no alcohol beverage equipment

Bucher Denwel De-Alconox M De-Alcoholisation System

The Bucher Denwel De-Alconox M from Core is a state-of-the-art membrane based de-alcoholisation skid, engineered to gently remove alcohol from beer (and other beverages) while preserving aroma, taste, and freshness. Operating at low temperatures (< 10 °C) in a fully closed system, the De-Alconox M minimizes oxygen pickup and energy consumption. With modular capacities from small test batches to full-scale production, it offers flexible control over final ABV levels (≤ 0.5 %) and enables cost-efficient low & no alcohol beverage production.

De-Alconox - A New Standard in Low & No-Alcohol Production

Bucher Denwel’s state-of-the-art membrane based de-alcoholisation process takes place in three gentle, temperature-controlled steps:

Step 1 Concentration Phase: a mixture of water and alcohol is separated from the beverage, reducing the product volume by approximately 30–50%.

Step 2 Washing Phase: the remaining product is further purified and the alcohol content reduced by rinsing with de-aerated water.

Step 3 Re-dilution Phase: de-aerated water is added back to achieve the desired final alcohol content and product volume.

De-Alconox - De-Alcoholisation System Features & Benefits
  • Membrane separation technology – Alcohol + water mixture is separated from the beverage without heat damage to flavor compounds.
  • Low operating temperature (< 10 °C) – Prevents formation of heat-related off-flavours and maintains product integrity.
  • Closed system design – No oxygen ingress, protecting product quality and oxidation-sensitive components.
  • High flexibility in ABV control – Final alcohol content can be adjusted precisely (≤ 0.5 %) to suit product targets.
  • Low energy consumption – Economical operation means lower utility costs.
  • Compact skid design – Minimal footprint, ideal for breweries with limited space.
  • Modular capacity options – Available for daily batches from ~ 5 hl to 100 hl, accommodating small to medium producers.
  • Gentle on aroma & taste – Membrane pore selection ensures retention of volatile aromatic compounds.
  • Scalable production – Multiple skids can be operated in parallel or series for higher throughput.
